The church is officially called the Thanh Tam Church. This is a Catholic church located on Hai Ba Dao Road (District 3, HCM). Built in 1870 and completed six years later, the church was built in Gothic architecture, but the details were in Roman and Baroque style. Despite many repairs, the original color has always been retained. Thanks to the unusual pink color the church attracts many visitors. Photo: Phong Vinh.
The building has main tower and secondary towers. The main tower has a height of 52.6 meters; on the top there is a three-metre-high cross, inside there are five bells weighing 5.5 tons. The two side towers have many windows with subtle patterns. Photo: Phong Vinh.
The interior of the cathedral is rather superficial with two rows of sharp Gothic architectural columns. Along with the facade, these two rows of columns are considered one of the most beautiful features of the building. The interior of the cathedral is made of Italian marble. Photo: Phong Vinh.
The Domaine de Marie Cathedral is also known as Mai Anh, because of its construction on a hill full of cherry blossoms in Dalat. It’s not just a religious venue, it’s also a popular tourist attraction. From here, visitors can open their eyes to the foggy city. Photo: Hong Ha.
The church is built on a total land of 12 hectares, about a kilometre southwest of the centre of Dalat. This architecture is built in a European style combined with the architecture of the indigenous ethnic minorities of the region. The facade of the church looks like a weighted triangle, on the sharp tip of the roof a cross is mounted, and the front is decorated with small arched doors in the shape of a mark. Photo: Hong Ha.
Built in the 1940s, the building was completed with the money of Suzanne Humbert, the Indo-Pacific Lady of Jean Decoux, from a lay donation. Prior to 1975, the church was famous for its orphanage activities with the participation of more than 50 nuns. Nowadays, social activities such as caring for children with developmental impairments, helping orphans, healing the poor… are still frequently carried out in the church. Visitors can visit the church at any time of the day, preferably early in the morning or at sunset. Photo: Hong Ha.
The Tourane Church, also known as the Church of the Holy Heart of Jesus or the Cathedral, was started in February 1923 on the empty site of the Rue du Musée (now Chen Fou Street, Da Nang) designed and chaired by the priest Vallet. The local people call the building the Chicken Church because on the roof of the church there is a very characteristic gray chicken statue. Photo by lanabek_88.
The church has a Gothic architecture with high lines, fruit-shaped doors, glass frames depicting typical biblical events. This place is visited by many foreign tourists and check-in when arriving in Da Nang. Photo: @xhana1023x
